html export - why is there an anchor tag inserted?

Compiling and exporting to html causes an anchor tag to be inserted within the first

tag inside the body tag. The anchor displays nothing but it does carry an ID so I’m assuming its inserted as some sort of reference point by whatever process does the conversion from Scrivener to html.
In my limited number of experiments this is always happens when you compile.
I don’t see any controls for this tag within the preferences or the compile parameters.

Is there any way to stop it being inserted?

Its probably harmless but I dislike having redundant code.
