Html links not generated

I’m quite interested to use (Multi)Markdown, but the [html links][] are not converted.
[html links]: awebsite.com

After the compilation (Multimarkdown -> html) nothing happens, the sentence stays as written, with the brackets. I tried to “play” with the settings, but I haven’t found anything useful. Any idea about what’s going on?

Thanks!

P.S.: I’m using the latest version of Scrivener with Snow Leopard (10.6.8 ).

The problem is the single carriage return between the text and the link information. MultiMarkdown needs two returns between paragraphs and the link information. So:

but the [html links][] are not converted. [html links]: http://www.awebsite.com

gives the text with square brackets and no links you are seeing. However if you use:

[code] but the html links are not converted.

you will get proper HTML links.

The two return rule also applies to paragraphs generally.
