I am sooo blocked!

one thing i liked about “writing for your life” by deena metzger was that i could turn to almost any page and get an idea about something.

she had one thing in there about people writing about their school lunches. at first i really couldn’t come up with anything, but the more i thought about it, the more just flew off my pen. in the book, people wrote about everything from the social aspect of school lunches, to the textures of the rubber meatloaf, to that particular smell always omni-present. between the focus on a singular subject and the remembering and exploring, i found that book really good for breaking me out of blocks.
