I preferred the version 2 Playback UI

I’m feeling frustrated by the way the UI handles the audio playback in version 3. I use split editor window with the playback at the bottom. I do some transcribing and checking of transcriptions before editing them. I liked the old UI where you could reduce the size of the window to just the controls, which were small and clear and persistent.
I like to mark time info in the transcription at places where I expect to want to listen again while editing. In the old version it was possible to see the time just by glancing down. Now, all you see are the words “Audio File” and you have to actually hover over it to see the time, even though you can stop and start the player with keyboard commands (which I love, especially the ability to set the rewind time).
This new playback control is useless unless you hover over it, and even with that, it takes up more space than the old one that was always visible. In addition, it is much harder to use the slider to land on a specific time. It seems less sensitive to adjustment than the previous version and requires more concentration and fiddling to find a specific time.
Did you have a good reason to make these changes?

According to this thread [url]https://forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/audio-file-interface-in-new-scrivener-3-0-1/39624/5] Apple have ‘upgraded’ the element which Scrivener uses for audio playback, so it’s out of the developers’ hands.

Get the 3.0.2 update. - it makes the audio controls always on screen (though still larger than before). Also adds an Insert Media Time Stamp option.
