Icon or Other Quick Ways to Activate / Execute 'Lock Inspector to Current Editor'?

I just skimmed this, but I think I’m having a similar issue but on a Mac book. The “lock inspector” function just doesn’t seem to work. I want the synopis of a folder to stay in the inspector while I work on the documents in it and the synopsis of the entire folder.

You need to split the editor and lock the inspector to the editor you are not navigating.

Exactly, this feature locks the inspector to the split you assign it to, hence the little dot that you get in the header bar of the split that it is locked to. It’s not going to stop the inspector from working normally within that split.

Consider using a Quick Reference window, if splits aren’t how you want to handle this. Those can have the Synopsis opened in the window, and it can be put off to the side of the project as a static reference while you work on the pieces within that section.
