If I have a sentence that is aligned left how can it compile full width justified?

Compile settings can determine (and override) almost any aspect of final formatting. So, perhaps the real question is why only certain paragraphs are getting formatted that way. What is distinguishing about those paragraphs? Have you by any chance applied a paragraph style to them?
