Importing a template from Word

Hi guys and gals,

I’m pretty new at using Scrivener, but as I’m about to embark on my bachelor thesis this spring, I thought I would test out Scrivener on a termpaper.

My problem is that my uni only supplies the needed templates in a .docx-format. I’ve tried importing them from the import-menu, and also just copying the front page (which is basically what I need), but without any luck. The document appears on the left side menu, but it’s empty.

Does anyone have a way for me to import the templates to Scrivener?
The template I need to use is found here: nord.no/no/studier/eksamen/ … rside.docx

Thanks!

The short answer is that Scrivener doesn’t do that sort of cover in that way. But…

Are there any special formatting requirements beyond the cover sheet? If the rest of them are only related to font/spacing etc then they’re easy to replicate usually, and there are Scrivener templates which set you off on the right track.

On the face of it then, the obvious thing to do is to write and compile everything else is Scrivener and just add the cover sheet to the front of the file in Word when it’s complete.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. This was what I was suspecting…
There aren’t really any other demands than having to use the template, and a specific font/size/line spacing.
I’ll give it a go as you described. Thanks!

Good luck…
