Importing a word doc into a new folder

Hi,

I am trying to import a word doc into a folder in my project. I click import, select the document, the little gear is spinning like it is working but then nothing. No words in the folder. Any suggestions?

Could you specify what you mean with “No words in the folder”? Does the document not appear in the Binder or does it but without content?

What is the content of the document? Just text (and images)? Or does it have imbedded elements like a video or an Excel table?

Which program does the document come from, from Word itself? Did you create it yourself?

Lots of questions, I know. But since it normally is no problem at all to import .doc or .docx it is important to find out what causes the trouble.
