Hello! I am very new to all of this. Can anyone explain how to get my conversations from Otter A.I. over to Scrivener? Please and Thank you
The question is: Has Otter A.I. an export function for its conversations? And if so, what does it export? Text files? Audio files? Or even better, does it save its conversations in openly accessible folders?
If the conversations have common file formats (like .mp3 for audio) you simple create a new Scrivener project and drag all the files into its Research folder. This special folder can hold all kinds of files while the Drafts folder is for your manuscript.
If the file types are common—simple test if you are on a Mac: Can Quick Look (dis)play them?—you can read/watch/listen to them or copy text from them right in Scrivener.
You can export text or audio. But I am trying to import text to scrivener. I did the drag trick. But when I open it on scrivener there is nothing there. Iam able to email to myself. saw that someone on youtube was doing that and it worked. but I cant get it to work for me. I am severely disabled and trying to use otter to dictate for me. Iam using windows 10. And I realy appreciate any assistance
Where did you drag from?
If Otter can create a text file on your hard drive, importing that into Scrivener should be easy. Dragging from, say, Otter itself is more problematic.
Ok, I will try, thank you
You Rock!! I have been trying to do that for a week! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
