I export .txt files, so I can write on the go using my android tablet and the program Jotterpad. The problem is not with exporting, the problem is when I bring them back in to scrivener again. I’ve been having some of my quotation marks and other standard symbols change into weird characters after importing. Most especially ‘…’ which is something I have discovered I probably overuse in my writing. Generally upon import it turns “…” into these characters “…”.
Here’s another example:
I made this list in Jotterpad, to test the symbols out, and it imported just fine:
…
()
“”
Hi indent.
Odd…s
I’d
“Speech”
……
BUT then I exported the same document from scrivener and imported it again (without ever running it through Jotterpad), and now it looked like this:

()

Hi indent.
Odds
I’d
“Speech”
…
What gives? It’s making bringing my files back into scrivener a pain. It seems to only be happening with scrivener created or edited files upon import. But I haven’t the foggiest idea how to fix it! Let me know if you have any solutions!
