Hi. Per a response to an earlier poster, I’ve been trying to open a .txt file in Scapple for Mac. But the file is grayed out, and I’m unable to load. Further, I’d been under the impression that dragging and dropping a text file would produce one-note-per-line in Scapple. But when I drag and drop, I continually get a whole-outline-in-one-note image. Can you clarify or straighten me out? Thanks.
Hmm, when you drag a text document onto a Scapple board, you should be getting a dialogue box that asks how (if at all) you would like to see the document split up. On carriage returns is the default. The result should be a Stack of notes, one for each separation point.
Could you describe each step you are taking, including whatever you’re doing in Scapple before you drag and drop? The only way I can think of getting a result like you describe is if I do not drag the .txt file at all, but rather open it in something else like TextEdit and then select all of the text and drag it over as text rather than as a file.
