Importing Word docx with comments intact

Previously I’ve been able to important Word docxs with my editor’s comments but now, the comments aren’t transferring.

I’m running the latest version of everything [Scrivener/Big Sur], and I have Java installed.

I’ve tried adjusting the preferences for sharing/import/import comments as inline annotations. Tried importing as RTF/Pages. Tried both importing and copying and pasting.

Any insight?

I just did this successfully, but the document had all track changes accepted. In fact I use the beta and the mac and I had to import the file on the mac so I could use the comments in my beta version.
