Include PDFs in compiled output?

I’m working on a handbook for a group I belong to; there are some existing PDFs I’d like to include as appendices in the finished handbook. They are all 8.5x11 documents, which is also the desired size of the finished handbook. Is there a way to include them in the project such that they will be compiled into the output PDF file?

Thanks!

Sorry, this isn’t possible.

Your best bet would be to use a PDF editor post-Scrivener to add them to your final document.

“PDF editor”…I didn’t know there was such a thing.

Thanks for the tip!

Turns out that there’s a very easy way to do it. There are a number of apps that will convert a PDF to a Word file, including pdftoword.com; then you’ve got a Word file and can import it. It won’t work with all PDFs, I suppose, but it worked well enough to solve my problem.

Hi

This might be even simpler…

That’s a possibility as well…but the PDFs I have to include are simple enough that the Word conversion is very good, and since there’s material from the main handbook that needs to follow them it’s probably easier just to import them. It also means I can have running page numbers, which would be nice.

But it’s nice to have choices.
