Including an image in compilation

I’ve written a fantasy novel, and I’d like to have a page in the front matter showing a map of this world (which is a .png file copied into my project). How can I include it? I copied it into the appropriate Front Matter folders, but the section type drop-down is greyed out and it doesn’t appear in the Compile window.

Also, if I can do that, is there a way to make it span two pages?

You can’t include the image directly (as an image file). You’ll need to paste (or link) it into a standard text document.

To split it across two pages, you would need to use an image editor to split it into two images. It’s not something Scrivener itself can do.
