Indents not sticking [BUG LOGGED]

When I adjust the indents using the ruler bar, if I switch scenes or close and reopen Scrivener, the indents are set back to 0.

That bug’s pretty well-reported. I think Lee’s aware of it already. I’d suggest adding an extra space between paragraphs until it can get fixed.

Just for documentation purposes on this, it happens when you resize the window as well. If you go from full screen mode to windowed mode, the ruler goes a bit haywire.

F.eg. I took these screen shots.

First I inserted some text, and set the ruler at 18 cm on the RIGHT side. This was done in full screen mode.

Then I put the main Scrivener window in windowed mode, and got this.

I changed the ruler again while still in windowed mode, and this time I set it to 14cm. Like this.

Then when I set Scrivener to full screen again, it lost the setting, and just reverted to the default, like this.

This does NOT seem to happen when you resize the window by dragging it in or out (in size). It appears to happen only when you flip from full-screen to windowed.
I’m using the Nov 7 version of Scrivener, which looks and feels great!

Excellent post. Thanks. It’s a bug and has been logged.

Lee

I did some further testing on this.

If you switch from full-screen mode to windowed mode, the thing happens as I described in the previous post. The ruler “contracts” as you see.

If you make no changes and restore full-screen, the indent is restored. So, if I go to windowed mode with an 18-cm right indent, it jumps to what you see in the second image in the previous post. If you restore full screen, the indent returns to 18cm.
