Is it possible to display more of the text on Index Cards when in Corkboard mode? It doesn’t help to make the larger if the text still doesn’t appear.
Hello lesaboutin.
The space for text on the index cards is designated for the document’s synopsis, which it brings in from the Notes tab of the inspector pane. As the manual notes, the synopsis is “meant to be a brief encapsulation of what the document’s purpose is,” although it can be re-purposed as needed.
If you’re not using the synopses, then Scrivener shows the first little bit of text from that document’s contents. Since the expectation for this field’s design is that it typically contains a brief overview, the amount of text shown isn’t much.
When you’re working with your corkboard, what additional text are you wanting to see?
I ask because I’m wondering if using split editors, Quick Reference panels, or some other tool might allow you to see the index cards as currently designed while also letting you see more text when needed.
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed. I hadn’t put the text in the Inspector. I appreciate your help.
