I’m sure I’ve read past the answer to this question multiple times, but I still need to ask.
When I create a new project for a novel or short story, the binder shows a chapter and scene in the first case and a scene for the latter. Are these supposed to be the first chapter and first scene? They don’t seem to behave the same way as the chapters and scenes I create using the add button.
thanks,
Bob
A scene is a file (like a word document), a chapter is a folder and can contain individual scenes by dragging then onto it like files dragged into a folder on windows. You can arrange anyway you want and if create a template with a chapter(s) and scenes built in that you can create again and again
hopefully this points you in the write direction, also look at interactive tutorial included with program and look at web site for series of beginning videos.
Good luck, it takes a while to learn but worth it.
Expand ?
In what do they differ ?
Basically, they should be the same, as they are only there to get you started.
Thanks, Vincent, for getting back to me. I’ve spent a bit more time playing around with the files, and I think I was wrong in saying that they seem to behave differently. Everything seems to be working properly now.
