This topic’s title says it all, I guess. A nice little menu with all the available placeholder tags would be really nice, as I don’t have them memorized and don’t want to open the list in the Help menu.

That would be an insanely long list in the Insert menu. 
Just for giggles, here is the entire list of tags (granted there is some exposition on usage in here as well), as shown on six pages at 25% magnification:
The menus could be nested into submenus according to the various categories. Easy solution.
