Insert Time/Date text icon

I know you have a keyboard shortcut to insert the current date/time, but it would be helpful for those of us who are 4-finger challenged, to add a clickable toolbar icon that would do the same.

In addition, to sort entries in chronological order, it would be nice if there was some date/time preference format so that I could choose rather than the texty “April 9, 2008 11:00 AM”, “20080409-1100” instead.

You can adjust the time stamp format by setting your system date preferences (in the International > Format section). I believe it is the “Long date” that is being used.
