I want to insert a different image just above each of my chapter headings. I thought of doing this using ‘prefix’ but this would seem to only work for a single image that would appear with every chapter heading.
Actually, you can use the Prefix for this, along with a little trickery - and in fact, you just reminded me that I have a blog post on exactly this written up and ready to go, so I have just published it:

The blog post covers using images instead of chapter headings, but you just need to keep the chapter headings as well as the images.
