Hmm, one trouble with this is that strictly speaking a contextual menu should be contextual. If I right-click on some text, I should in theory only get functions related to that text, or the text editor in general. We start putting stuff in there (and I assume in all of the contextual menus, no matter where you right-click) that is global and it could get messy pretty quick.
Are you okay with shortcuts? There is one assigned to toggling the Inspector: Ctrl-Shift-I. That is what I use, probably dozens of times per day.
