For versions 13 & 14 I received this error on installation only
This message box comes from Acrobat Distiller and not from Scrivener. During installation time, Scrivener does not show/handle PDF files.
Also looking at the message it seems like Acrobat Distiller cannot create some temporary folders and not Scrivener.
