Install fails (Copying QTGui4.dll)

Hi all,

I’m having no luck installing Beta 5. Here are the details of my problem:

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bits with SP2.
File: Scrivener-1.5-installer - 42,9 MB (45.061.464 bytes)
Download location: literatureandlatte.com/scrivenerforwindows/
Error: Error copying from packed archive d:/downloads/Scrivener-1.5-installer.exe to C:/Program Files/Scrivener/QtGui4.dll

If I choose to ignore the error, a similar one will occur later on with another file…

I initially thought this might be a corrupted installer, but downloading it again didn’t change a thing. Modifying the install directory also didn’t seem to help, nor did executing the installer as an administrator.

First, have you tried installing it after a fresh install? That is, uninstall the old one. Secondly, is any kind of virus scanner or security software interfering?

It is indeed a fresh install because I’m installing the software for the first time. As for the anti-virus, I’m using AVG but as far as I can see it is not scanning the Scrivener’s installer while this one is executing…
