I just downloaded the .exe and when I click to run it, nothing happens. No error message, nada. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue/knows what could be a possible cause?
OS: Vista 64bit SP2
This might be a long shot, but just in case. Firstly, it might be worth downloading the file again in case if got damaged in transit. Then, before running setup, make sure you have absolutely all the recommended windows updates from windowsupdate.microsoft.com
Either of these two causes could be the cause of the problem and although I don’t think either is massively likely it’s worth just double checking to eliminate them.

Did you download just the Scrivener.exe all by itself? I think there was a flash update that just released an updated .exe file without an installer. If you tried to run that all by itself it shouldn’t work. You need to download the full installer, run that, and then update the .exe.
Sorry for the delay in reply guys, have been busy busy busy ^^;
AmberV, the .exe that I downloaded (twice to check in case it was damaged in transit) is ScrivenerBeta1.exe which was what was linked to on the Scrivenerforwindows.com page. Should I need any other files for that to work?
Also have made sure all Windows updates are up to date, but still no luck 
Can you try running it with 32 bit compatibility?
Tried changing the compatibility mode, but had no option for Vista 32bit. Options are as below:
Windows 95
Windows 98/ME
Windows NT 4.0 (SP5)
Windows 2000
Windows XP (SP2)
Windows Server 2003 (SP1)
