Hullo! I’m new here, and I’m here because I’m having trouble installing Scrivener. I’m running Windows XP, and I can’t even get the installation program to load. When I try to run it, I get the pretty Scrivener logo in the middle of my screen, then an error message pops up that tells me I need administrator privileges to install the program. I have admin privileges–my account is the only one on my laptop. (I had thought at first that it was the other account with admin status that was causing the problem, but I got rid of that and restarted my computer, and the error message still pops up.)
I did install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package mentioned in the announcement at the top of the page, but it doesn’t seem to have done me any good.
Help? D:
