I have installed Scrivener and moved the install icon to my Applications folder. Subsequently, I have tried to open it from the applications folder and it says it cannot be opened because “the original item could not be found.”
Any help?
It sounds as though, somehow, instead of the program file getting copied to the Applications folder, an alias to the program has been created again. Thus, after the DMG is ejected, the application to which the alias points cannot be found. Delete the alias from your Applications folder and try reinstalling.
