Installation question, please.

I improperly installed Scrivener by dragging the “Extras” folder into ‘applications’.

The software works just fine, but I’m concerned about future problems. They have a way of popping up at the least opportune time.

So, what may I do to straighten out my error, please?

(I did purchase the software and I’d like to keep a long and complex template.)

You should just be able to delete the Extras folder from the Applications folder. Scrivener only looks for any extras in Application Support, so it knows nothing of the Extras folder in Applications anyway - so deleting it should not destroy any templates you have created. (And remember that you can always save out your templates to somewhere else on disk to back them up.)
