It is open on my tool bar, showing the page I was working on when I stopped to update, and amount of time left on my trial version, but now when I try to click on the page…it flips back to the web page I just left.
I can’t shut Scrivener down either.
Separately…my trial version may be stuck on 14 days left. I don’t use Scrivener often (sometimes not for weeks), but it has been on 14 days left for the last couple of months.
I’m not quite following the sequence here. It sounds like you used “Check for Updates” from within Scrivener to update the program and relaunched, which opened your project as expected and brought up the trial window, but clicking anywhere on the Scrivener window is switching to your browser application? You will need to click “Try” on the trial dialog before you can interact with the main window (including closing the program), but it shouldn’t be directing focus to another program.
You may’ve already sorted this out, but if not, what happens if you quit Scrivener via the Windows Task Manager, minimize your other windows to the task bar, and then try launching Scrivener again? Are you able to click through the trial window and then move around in the main window normally?
Also, thanks, we’'re aware of a problem with the trial counter being a bit overgenerous.
