inverted commas within brackets

Putting an inverted comma immediately after an opening bracket slants the angle of the comma towards the bracket, as if it was the end of a word, rather than towards the start of the coming word. Its work-roundable, but a bit annoying.

Thanks, we have this on the list–it occurs after various punctuation marks–but I believe it turned out not to be a straightforward fix with the text engine, so not something we’ve been able to do yet. You could try using substitutions to correct this for now. Make the incorrect and correct versions in the editor and then select and copy them. Open Tools > Options and under the Correction tab, select “Enable additional substitutions”, then click “Edit Substitutions” and create a new substitution with your pasted example.
