iOS 13

I guess we aren’t the only ones who noticed iOS 13 issues.

A software company (and yes, Apple is a software company) pushes out a product to meet an arbitrary marketing deadline, and it’s buggy.

This is news?

I am on iOS Public Beta and I have very few problems. There were TONS at first. It was really bad and I had to reformat the whole phone and start over—from scratch. I couldn’t sync it or it would re-sync the issues.

The worst part of this story, is the day I updated it, I left on a week long vacation and I spent the whole time with limited apps(no email, no map which was insane, no messages, no phone). Thankfully, I had my daughter’s phone. After the reformat though, all has been peaceful and quiet, except for a few small glitches here and there. I had malware on my phone and it’s been cured, so I am grateful for whatever they did.

They degraded and patched a ton of gaping security holes that were the reason many people were getting hacked. Also, the change to dark mode and new app functions meant a huge upgrade to the OS from the ground level up, and it usually comes with a few thousand headaches.

I’m happy now though. Maybe you should do what I did. Hopefully that will help. I know it is a pain, but think of it as spring cleaning. Just make sure you have a back up of another off-icloud format before you do it, or you could lose a lot of info.
