iOS Scrivener on Catalina?

Appreciate the newness (early days – all unknown – etc – etc) of the recent Catalina announcement, but just wondering aloud if – with Project Catalyst bringing iPad apps to the Mac – we will see Scrivener for iPad coming to Catalina alongside the current Mac version, or if the future is to have just one version of Scrivener, presumably based on whatever feature-set iPadOS can handle.

One universal version has got to be simpler to manage, surely…

If the Mac OS version of Scrivener is mothballed in favor of the iOS version being ported to Mac… we riot. :imp:

I expect I would be in the embrace-and-accept camp, rather than reaching for the Molotovs and pitchforks. The future might well belong to iPadOS and ARM-powered Macs. Going to get interesting.

I can’t speak for Keith, but personally I’d join the pitchfork-wielding mobs if you tried to limit Mac Scrivener to the iOS Scrivener feature set.

I’d prefer not to lose any of Mac Scrivener’s capabilities, but I’d go with whatever course Keith might choose to set, believing he would act with the best intentions for the future.
