I like the auto-correct feature, however, I am having problems with certain words and combinations of letters. Close is changed to clofe, chose to chofe, does, to dofe, and many more. I have altered the substitutions so that they revert to the right words but it’s driving me nuts. I’ve even set ‘s’ to change to ‘s’ but it still keeps doing it.
Any suggestions?
Yipes. That would be awful. What language do you have set as your spelling dictionary?
I’d also check what you have set for substitutions (click Edit Substitutions under the Corrections pane of Tools > Options). There may be something there that’s swapping letters within the words. In that case you might be able to fix it by adding a space as part of the substitution (simulating a whole word), or just remove the substitution entirely.
