Is there an iframe function?

I test Scrivener. When I open a PDF, it will be displayed in the window. Some formats are just a link (for example Excel).
I’ve seen that I can also create shortcuts to programs. Is there an I-Frame function to open the programs or files in the Scrivener window instead of a new window?

Many Greetings

Is that even a thing? I thought i-frames were for containing web browser pages within other web pages. I’ve never encountered of a modern application being able to contain another developer’s native desktop application window, except where virtual machines where that containing app.
