I’ve installed Scrivener Version 1.7.2.3 beta (64 bit) on Linux Mint 17 (x64) running Cinnamon.
As I’ve been working my way through the tutorial, I am on ‘Step 11: Scrivenings’ and I have an issue with how the scrivenings are displaying.
If I highlight a ‘folder’ document in the Binder (such as ‘Part 2: Organisation’) then select the scrivenings view, the multiple sections display correctly, filling the entire Editor View and being separated by dotted lines.
However, when I try to follow the instructions on ‘Step 11: Scrivenings’ the scrivenings display in the Editor View does not display correctly. Instead of filling the entire width of the Editor View, it only fills a tiny fraction of the left side of the Editor View.
I’ve tried deleting the tutorial project I was working on and creating a new one, but the behavior is the same. Is there a setting somewhere I need to adjust to correct this issue? Is anyone else able to reproduce this issue?
I just installed the 32 bit version of Scrivener(1.7.2.3) on Mint17 x64, and the display issue still occurs.
I was trying to determine whether or not it was directly related to the version of the software. I suppose the next step is to spin up a 32 bit version of Mint in a VM and test to see if it’s related to the OS architecture.
You’re right, it does sound linux specific. I don’t see a forum for reporting bugs for the Linux version. Is there anything else I should do to report this to the developer(s) or is this thread enough?
