I got a new Mac and upgraded Scrivener to 3 at the same time. I am trying to open my previously saved file from an older version of Scrivener, yet get an error when I try to open it from Scrivener 3.0. The error I get is:
Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this?
Did you have version 2.8 or 2.9 of Scrivener?
2.8.1.2 so I guess 2.8
A new Mac? So where did you keep the project?
Saved it in Google Drive.
Ouch… Don’t!
Google drive doesn’t keep a complete copy and doesn’t update all the files in the way Scrivener wants it to.
Try moving the who,e package to somewhwere else, on your Mac, using Finder.
In your svreenshots the backup is not saved in the folder you show in Preferences
