It's a question of rows and columns.

Hello Everyone,

I’m new to Scrivener and have run into an organizational hiccup. Is there a way to put cards in a column and not just in rows? If so, can you direct me to the resource that will show me how to do this? I find it easier to categorize and organize things with multiple columns and not in just one continuous row.

Best,

If you mean that when you have multiple containers selected and shown on the corkboard as a “stack” (alternating backgrounds to show where one group ends and the next begins), then yes there is a button on the right-hand side of the corkboard footer bar that has three different toggles:

  • Grid
  • Rows
  • Columns

As with the stacked grid view, you can drag items between these columns or rows to move them between containers, directly to the spot you wish to place the card.

For more information, refer to §12.1.6, Stacked Corkboards, pg. 148 in the user manual PDF.
