Well, this is probably the wrong place to post this but when I tried her own website there was no way to contact her… so maybe somebody from here can… on page 24 in her Absolute Beginners Guide (e-book version) it gives the hot key Ctrl-Alt-Shift-P as the way to bring up the Scratch Pad… but on my version of Scrivener it is Ctrl-Shift-O as stated under the Tools menu…
The ABG Scrivener book was published in 2013, so was written based on an earlier version of Scrivener. Since Scrivener has continued development, you’ll occasionally find differences in the current version of the software and the book. (You can find the list of changes in Scrivener from update to update here.) Keyboard shortcuts are listed next to the command in the menus, so they should be easy to find, and you can customise them in the Keyboard section of Tools > Options. You can always mark up the reference list in the book if you want, too!
