Is there some way to jump to the top of the page when using the editor, or just reading, on the iPad? At the moment I have to continue finger scrolling ad nauseum to get back to the top of the page.
I do a lot of writing on this device, and a top of page jump, would be welcome.
Best regards
Steve
The Home key on an external keyboard will work while editing text, as well ⌘↑. Otherwise, as is standard for all iOS views, tapping along the very top of the screen, in the status bar area, will scroll you to the top of the list/text view/document/etc.
Hi Amber,
I am using the IOS version. I have a keyboard attached to my iPad mini, but there is no HOME key. Also using the CMD shift key combo does nothing. Also tapping the top of the screen only brings up the target gadget.

Okay, I found the top of the screen . It is right at the top, almost off the screen. I suppose using the smaller iPad makes it more difficult to access, but I have it now. Thanks.

“Home” on most Apple portable keyboards and laptops is Fn-LeftArrow. Depending on the brand of keyboard you use, they may have copied that convention as well. I don’t know why the other wouldn’t work though—unless the document isn’t in edit mode. It should be ⌘↓ for the bottom of the file and Up for the top.
As for the tap zone, it is right on the edge of the screen, where the clock and battery status stuff would be, it’s as narrow on an iPhone as well. My habit is to aim for the actual edge of the screen itself, so my finger is half off the screen. That seems to reliably trigger the action without accidentally brushing against any active buttons within the app itself below that area.
Thanks for the extra info, Amber. The command up and down keys work, the Fn key does not. I am using a ClamCase Pro, which I suppose may have the keys implemented differently. Thanks again for your reply. My frustration using Scrivener on the iPad has dissipated. Ha.
Best regards
Steve
Glad to hear it.
