I just want to say thanks to the developers for this great application. I started using scrivener a few months for short projects. Later I acquired a license and now I’m using 2.0 for larger works. It’s incredible, I always wished something similar for my writings. I’m not sure if you planned it, but your program can be very useful for ethnographers and other qualitative data analysts. Just adding some features, it could be at the same level of other qaqdas software but being much more complete, intuitive and comfortable to use.
PS. I know this is not the place to talk about localizations, but I reiterate here my will to contribute to the project (in the spanish translator group) if it turns collaborative.
Many thanks for the kind words! Much appreciated. I don’t know much (read: anything) about ethnography or qualitative data analysis, but you’re not the first user to say that you’re using Scrivener that way, which is interesting.
Regarding localisation, our plan is to embark on that early in 2011, so we’ll post here and start a discussion about how we plan to proceed then - thanks for volunteering, that will be really helpful!
Just used QuickRef for the first time. Unbelievable feature.
Every time I find myself wondering if 2.0 can do something, I find out it can…or you have a real good reason it can’t. Besides QuickRef, I also have already found the new Snapshots, Custom icons, and Format Bar particularly useful. Also inline footnotes (but maybe that was in the earlier version).
Hey, take the American Thanksgiving off. You deserve it. Best…David
