Keeping Track of Versions

I find it’s important to keep track of different versions of your manuscript. You might have several beta versions, or might make a correction after publishing.

If I put the version number on the title page, I can always check with a beta reader to see which one he/she has.

So that I don’t have to change the version number in multiple locations, I put it in the meta data as the abbreviated title, as seen here.

It then appears on the title page. I also have a dedicated project-wide note to keep track of the versions.
