Keyboard shortcut: bring up editor

I’ve bought Scrivener for Windows and I like it a lot. The one thing I really want that doesn’t seem to be here:

In the corkboard view, I want to be able to open the editor via a keyboard shortcut.

Right now, I have to:

  1. Right click the index card;
  2. Select Open;
  3. Slide over to Open in Editor

I looked in Tools/Options/Keyboard and can’t find an Open in Editor command to assign a keyboard shortcut to. I used Open in Editor often.

This thread seems to be about the same subject, in the beginning.

In the Mac version, double clicking on the icon in the corner of the Index Card opens the document in the Editor. Does that not work in the Windows version?

Martin.

Hmm, there should be a Documents > Open > in Editor command with a keyboard shortcut that should be customisable, but you are right, this is currently missing. I’ll pass this onto the Windows team. As Martin says, though, in the meantime double-clicking the icon in the corner of a card will do what you want (although obviously that’s not a replacement for a keyboard shortcut if you want to avoid taking your hands off the keyboard).

All the best,
Keith

Yeah, doubleclicking in the corner does work, which is handy. But I do like to keep my hands on the keyboard.

Thanks!

I believe Lee has added this for the next update.
All the best,
Keith
