Keyboard shortcut for line numbers doesn't work when main editor & notes sections are selected

Using Scrivener v.3.1.6.0 on Windows 11 Home v. 24H2.

Not sure if it’s a local issue or a Scrivener bug but…

The keyboard shortcut alt+shift+E for showing/hiding line numbers doesn’t work when either the main Editor or the Inspector Notes sections are selected. It works fine if the binder or synopsis sections are selected, and if either of the toolbar search fields are selected too. And all the other text editing shortcuts for show/hide the format bar, ruler, invisibles, markup, page view) etc work just fine with the editor and notes sections are selected, including the alt+shift+w toggle for every 5 lines, but you cant turn the line numbers on and off if the cursor is either in notes or the editor!

Same thing with windows 3.16 and windows 11. Don’t use so never noticed. But does work with the menu command View > text editing > show line numbers if the focus is in the editor or inspector notes.

Thanks for the report! I thought it might be to do with the specific shortcut using the Alt key, but I’ve tried a few others without success, so there may be something else that needs fixing with how these are wired up. I’ve filed a bug report to look into this. In the meanwhile, the accelerator key stroke will work as a keyboard-only way to toggle the line count from the editor. In sequence, type Alt, V, E, L.
