Kiln People

Kiln People by David Brin

It’s been quite a while since I picked up a sci-fi book and decided to give it a go. If you like the idea of doing multiple things at once, but by copies of yourself, and having those copies ‘in-load’ their / your experiences into the real you, then this is the book for you – the real you, that is.

Well, actually, I’m reading a number of books, or rather, I am alternating my reads. I’m also re-reading The Hobbit, one of my favourite books.

A little while ago I finished J.R.R Tolkien’s, The Children of Hurin. Not one of my most favourites, that one, but it was worth reading. So after reading that, I was ready to read, The Silmarillion. Got to about chapter 14 and decided to give it the elbow. I’ll have another go at it another time.

I’d forgotten about this one by Brin. I had started it but seemed to stall (stopped reading it for no real reason) and returned it to the library. I’ll look it up again.
