Large file crashing upon launch

Hi. I’ve got a fairly large (2.5 GB) Scrivener file that (as of this afternoon) crashes about five seconds after I open it. Every time. It has never done this before and other (much smaller) Scrivener files open and stay open without incident. It’s just this one file. I’m running Scrivener 2.6 and OS X 10.10.

Any thoughts?

In the large project, I’m assuming there are probably an abundance of PDF and/or web pages archived within it? These are both common vectors for instability. Scrivener relies upon OS X’s toolkits to display them, and if they malfunction (something as simple as a bad Flash animation can do this) they’ll bring the host software down with it—and given the way Scrivener reloads whatever you were looking at last, this can lead to a cyclical crash that happens whenever you load the project. It’s also possible to graphics files to become corrupted, which can in turn cause text files to crash, if they have embedded graphics.

So if you have any documents that match those descriptions loaded in either split, or even a QuickReference panel, upon load, we’ll need to go in and dig the misbehaving PDF or whatever it is, out. This is pretty easy to do, just let me know if you think you need it.

Otherwise, there are plenty of other things to check.
