I’m running Scrivener 2.6 on Mavericks 10.9.5 and having horrible latency issues. I moved my .scriv files from Dropbox right onto my 2010 MBA and I’m still having problems. Anyone know how to troubleshoot this? I’m pretty sure all my paths in Preferences point to the MBA’s SSD (and not Dropbox). Is this a “known issue”?
The only latency issues that Dropbox may cause would be universal, not application specific, and then only indirectly and under some circumstances. I have noted that a high level of WiFi usage will cause Bluetooth peripherals to “stutter”. I’m not sure if that has to do with radio interference or poor bus management in Apple laptops but like I say, if that is the problem it will be everywhere.
So if that’s not the type of latency you’re referring to, a constant background “stutter” on your input devices that can be solved by ceasing ’net activity or turning off WiFi, then what sort of problem are you referring to?
If you haven’t already used the search feature on this forum, I would recommend it. This doesn’t impact many people, but it does often enough for there to be a few extensive threads. Here are a couple of recent threads:
Thank you! I will try your suggestions.
