I guess its just because I’m new to the L&L forum and support sites, but I’m having a hard time keeping up with where to get THE LATEST version of the Scrivener for Windows application.
I’m trying to install the program on another computer and I saw a few days back that a Hotfix was posted, and now I can’t find it again.
Does the Scrivener download on “Scrivener for Microsoft Windows - Public Beta” page include the hotfix? There is no “About Scrivener” under the Help menu to check and see what version I’m running so I don’t know if I need to track down the hotfix to get it up to the same version as my home computer.
Normally there is a sticky note in a Forum that indicates the latest version, what it includes and changed and a link to the download page. I’m sure its in this Forum somewhere, but I can’t seem to find it.

Really, no one on the board knows if the hot fix is already in the Beta1 download on the Scivener for windows page?
I don’t believe the download on the site has the latest Hotfix. Those are usually linked in announcement posts that Lee makes. I think the 1.3 beta download that Lee will be releasing this weekend will be updated on the download page and should incorporate all the hotfixes. From the sounds of it, 1.3 is not a hotfix but will require uninstalling and reinstalling. The latest hotfix is here if you still need it. Lee will be including an option that tells users what version they’re using in the 1.3 release.
There was a 1.1 and 1.2 release?
I thought I’d been chacking the download page frequently and only saw the “Beta 1” download link. Where did you find a notice that 1.1 and 1.2 were available for download?
Ive got to learn to fish to make sure I know what the L&L process is pushing these incemental updates out. So will they be in the “Announcements” forum for WinScriv lake they are for the Mac version?
Or will the WinSciv updates be posted in the “Scrivener for Windows” forum?
I’m hopeful that as the program exits Beta it will include a “Check for updates?” option in a menu or link on the “About Scrivener” pop-up.

The hotfixes were not put onto the download page for windows scrivener. They were linked in Lee’s update posts that he makes in the Bug Hunt forum. Right now if you go there, in the announcements section there is a thread that says “29th OCT - CURRENT BETA 1.2 IS VERSION HERE” and that’s where you’ll find a link to the 1.2 hotfix.
