Latest Scrivener for Windows 3 update (ver *.*.19) has failed

I just downloaded and ran the latest update to Scrivener for Windows 3 and now the application will not run, and the error/failure message was not very informative: “The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b). Click OK to close the application.” All previous v3 updates have gone flawlessly (and I’ve done several over the couple of years we’ve been on beta).

I’m running Windows 10 64-bit on a Dell workstation. Please advise. Error message attached.

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. HELP! HELP! HELP! Updated Scrivner and now it will not open. I am running the latest windows 10. My paper is which is due in two days is trapped inside the program!

Okay, the fix appears to be reinstalling the update manually. It worked for me although some are reporting that they’re having difficulty with this approach.
