[LH2741] Changes in binder don't change editor when in split view (either vertically horizontally).

The following problem occurs only with the project I reference; other projects work fine.

I have a project I created in 1.9 then converted to 3.0 beta. It worked at first, but now when I open the project, if I have it in either vertical or horizontal split, changing the selection in the binder has no effect on either editor. I can view it in Scrivenings, Index Card, and Outline views, but changing the selection in the binder has no effect.

If I switch to the single editor view, it works fine. When I switch back to a split view, it displays the last file selected in the binder in single editor view, but again, changing the selection in the binder doesn’t change the editor.

I’ve tried closing and reopening the project. I also opened a backup created in 3.0 and have the same problem.

I am using Version: 2.9.0.1 Beta (19429) - 20 Nov 2017

I am on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

The project is saved in a Dropbox folder.

I am using an Administrator account.

I have Crashplan backup software running, and the Dropbox folders are included in what it backs up.

I will email a zip file with the project to support@literatureandlatte.com with the word BETA in the subject line.

Works for me. Did you make sure that under Navigate > Binder Selection Affects any option other than None is selected, like so:

As Linus said, please check your Navigate > Binder Affects settings for the project. There is a bug that is causing upgraded projects (which includes new projects created from the templates, other than blank, as these haven’t yet been updated for 3.0) to switch to an incorrect Binder Affects setting. Changing that to your preferred setting should get it working as expected.

That did it, thanks! I’ve never used that setting so didn’t know to look there.
