[LH2800] Converting older project (invisibly) breaks up words - or is this a spellchecker issue?

Hi - Working on a project created in Scrivener 1.9.7. The conversion seems slightly corrupt. The spellchecker keeps highlighting partial words, e.g.

Whatever happened.

I’m guessing some invisible characters have crept in…
