[LH2955] Straight quotes don't automatically change to smart quotes after em dash

Can’t remember if this was the behaviour in 1.9, but if you end a sentence with an em dash surrounded by quotation marks, the ending quotation mark will not update to a smart (curly) quote. For example:

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog–"

The – will change to an em dash, but the quotation mark after the dash stay as a straight quotation mark. This applies to both double and single quotation marks.

Beta 2.9.0.3 64 bit, Windows 10.

Thanks, this has been filed. It seems to be tied to the conversion of the em-dash; if you disable the selection to convert the double hyphen to an em-dash, the quotes are converted correctly. (Not sure that’s really a viable alternative for you, but an interesting factoid. :wink:)
